LONDON / PARIS

BUCKLE UP FOLKS, cause this blog post is a long one containing lots of pictures and lots of fun ;-) hahaha.

Ok real talk tho, I AM IN LOVE WITH LONDON! Oh and PARIS!!! Here is what we did day by day. :)

If you missed my post about my first two days in London, check it out here

Dec. 8th: Honestly, I never really understood how jet lag worked until this very morning. I LITERALLY COULD NOT GET UP! I am still so mad at myself because I slept in till noon, oops. My friends Maddy & Mayce woke up before Jacqueline and I, so they went out before us. Once Jacq and I finally got out of bed and got ready we went to go meet up with them for a day full (aka only three hours because the sun sets so early and everything closes.) Unfortunately Jacq and I got very lost because we had NO idea where we were going on the tube (the subway.) It was quite the adventure! Once we finally met up with Maddy and Mayce, we went to the Natural History Museum and another museum that I can’t remember the name of, oops. After we got dinner at the cutest little pizza place, we went to Mamma Mia on Broadway… HOLY CRAP! So funny. If you ever find yourself in London, you must go!

Dec. 9th: We got a good start to our day by walking around the dopest area of London! Everyone else had bagels for breakfast from some famous place and I had subway next door, typical Ty :-). Spent most the day just walking around the coolest markets and shops. We walked to the very top of St. Paul’s Cathedral, WAY too many stairs, but it was so worth it. The view was AMAZING. After we went to the London eye, which I didn’t think was going to be that cool, but WOW, seeing the city of London from that high up and being able to see all of the places we went was so amazing. A perfect end to our time in London town! After the eye we ran to the train station with all of our luggage to get on our way to Paris..unfortunately we read the time wrong on the tickets and we missed the last train to Paris for the night. We had to find a last minute hotel in London to stay at and catch the first train to Paris in the morning so we didn’t waste a day to explore.

Dec. 10th: Woke up and caught a train to Paris.. NO BIG DEAL OR ANYTHING?!?!? WHAT IS LIFE??!? Seriously so crazy. After we got to our hotel and dropped off our luggage, we didn’t want to waste any time so we got on the metro (the subway) to Notre Dame… once again… NO BIG DEAL?!?!?! Prettiest building, my friend Jacq described it best, felt like lord farquad’s castle off of shrek, HAHA!! Probably one of the happiest moments of my entire trip/LIFE was outside of the church, Jacq and I went to take pictures with all the birds and the sweetest old Parisian man started putting seeds all over us and the birds just SWARMED it was HILARIOUS! After that we went to the louvre, which is just as amazing as it looks. Right before we went in, we saw the most amazing view of the Eiffel Tower with the most beautiful Parisian sunset. Seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time was SO crazy and SO surreal..ALSO, I GOT TO SEE THE ACTUAL REAL LIFE MONA LISA?!?!?! Everything we saw, I just kept thinking, wow, one day I am going to tell my grandchildren about this exact moment! After the Louvre, we went to the Musee d’Orsay, another museum. There is a huge clock there, see photos below, we got to go on the inside of the clock and see through it at the Louvre.

Dec. 11th: This day was pretty much revolved around the Eiffel Tower, and I was SO not mad about it. Seeing it up close and even better, GOING UP TO THE VERY TOP OF IT, was unreal. I can’t even find the words to express what an amazing experience it was. After going to the top, we went to the cutest little cafe/restaurant across the street from it for some hot coco and lunch. Drinking hot coco, at a cafe, across the street from the Eiffel Tower? Casual. No big deal. After, we went to Laudree cause you know this cutie loves a good macaroon. Then we walked up way too many stairs to the top of the Arc, just in time to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle. Perfect end to our time in Paris.

Dec. 12th: Caught the train back to London, to fly back to LAX the next morning. The train ride between London and Paris is so beautiful. I loved seeing the country side of France and England.

All in all, was such an AMAZING trip with my best friends, or as I like to call them, my family. I love the Gilleland’s to death. I will hold these memories and adventures in my heart for the rest of my life and I cannot wait to tell my children and my grand children about my times in London and Paris one day.

xoxo
